HCM City (VNA) - Low-cost carrier Jetstar Airways of Australiawill open two direct flights from Melbourne and Sydney to Ho Chi Minh City ofVietnam from next month.
Australian Assistant Minister for Trade, Tourismand Investment Keith Pitt and representatives of Jetstar Airways announced thisinformation at a press conference in Ho Chi Minh City on April 5.
Accordingly, Jetstar Airways will use Boeing 787Dreamliner for three flights per week from May 10 between Ho Chi Minh City andMelbourne, and four flights per week from May 11 between Ho Chi Minh City andSydney.
In the past 12 months, the flow of visitors fromVietnam to Australia has increased 21 percent, and the number is expected tocontinue rising after the launching of the two air routes, said Paul Rombeek,Jetstar Groups’ Global Head of Sale.
Assistant Minister Keith Pitt said Vietnam israpidly becoming one of the most attractive destinations in South East Asianfor Australian tourists.

The 180-seat Airbus A320 of Jetstar Pacific en route from Da Nang landed in Hong Kong (China) on March 27, marking a new connection between the central resort city and the Chinese territory.
