Vientiane (VNA) ⭕– The Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) Committee held its 10th national congress at the National Convention Centre in Vientiane on June 8.
The event was attended by General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of Laos Bounnhang Volatchit, Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith, Chairman of the Lao National Assembly Pany Yathotou, representatives from the Party, State, ministries, organisations and hundreds of delegates.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Lao Front President Phanduangchit Vongsa said delegates will review the implementation of the Resolution of the Front’s 9th national congress.
The Congress will also set orientations for the next five years, and a vision and strategy for the development of the Front from 2016-2025, according to the Front’s President.
He highlighted the role of the Front in fostering the great national unity and promoting patriotism.
The Congress will also ratify the list of those nominated to the Presidium, President, Vice Presidents, and the members of the Standing Committee of the Front.-VNA
