Lao transport minister visits Vietnam

Lao Minister of Public Works and Transport Sommad Pholsena is on a working visit to Vietnam, aiming at increasing cooperation between the two transport sectors.

The visit is also to strengthen thespecial traditional friendship between the two countries, he told DeputyPrime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at meeting in Hanoi on Dec. 19.

TheLao minister briefed the Deputy PM on discussions and cooperationbetween the two transport ministries as well as the signing of abilateral comprehensive cooperative agreement in transport until 2015.

MinisterSommad Pholsena spoke highly of the efforts and assistance ofVietnamese experts for development of transport infrastructure in Laos.

He affirmed his intention to efficiently implement bilateralagreements, contributing to maintaining and promoting the Vietnam-Laostraditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensivecooperation.

Deputy PM Phuc spoke highly of outcomes from the two ministries’ cooperation in experience sharing and human resource training.

He affirmed his support for the implementation of the two ministries’ future cooperative agreements.

Vietnam wants to work with Laos to develop the two countries’relations in a deeper, more practical and effective manner./.
