Duringa press conference in Vientiane on September 9, Vice Chairman of theLao NA’s Committee for External Relations, Bounnhong Boupha, said Laoshas done everything it can to ensure the success of the event.
The participating countries’ flags have been hung along the city’smain streets, including Kaysone Phomvihane and Souphanouvong Avenues,along with welcome banners, he said.
Sub-committeeshave been formed to ensure reception, communications, health care, andsecurity services are all run smoothly, he said.
Theagenda for the 35 th General Assembly of AIPA has also been devised,while draft resolutions prepared by the Women Parliamentarians of AIPA(WAIPA) and various committees have been sent to participants, he added.
This is the second time Laos hosts an AIPA General Assembly.-VNA
