Quang Nam (VNA) – Artists from the Laos NationalArt Troupe performed in front of thousands audience in Hoi An Ancient Town, thesouth-central province of Quang Nam during a cultural show on July 20 eveningas part of the ongoing Laos Culture Week held across Vietnam.

The week celebrates the 60th anniversary of diplomaticrelations between the two countries (September 5, 1962 – 2022) and the 45thanniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Friendship andCooperation (July 18, 1977 – 2022).

In his opening remarks, Boualay Phanouvong, chief of officeat the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, said the show bringstogether nearly 40 Lao artists, who are singers, dancers, musicians and circusperformers, taking to the stage various performances highlighting traditionalcultures and the special friendship between the two countries.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran VanTan said the show, featuring distinctive songs and dances, will help strengthenthe special solidarity, friendship and partnership between Vietnam and Laos.

Parallel to Lao Culture Week in Vietnam, Vietnamese CultureWeek in Laos takes place at the same time.

A photo exhibition on Vietnam–Laos friendship opened on July17 in Vientiane as a part of Vietnamese Culture Week in Laos.

The exhibition displays images, documents, objects and booksthemed "Great Friendship, Special Unity and Comprehensive Cooperation"between the two nations./.

Exhibition features President Ho ♕Chi Minh as founder of Vietnam’s revolutionary press

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
