Hanoi (VNA) – A delegation of Party andState leaders on April 30 paid tribute𓂃 to President Ho Chi Minh a💮t hismausoleum in Hanoi on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of theliberation of the South and national reunification.
The delegation included Prime Minister Nguyen XuanPhuc; former Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; former President Tran DucLuong; former Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Van An; and Permanentmember of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong. The Party and State leaders expressed their boundlessgratitude for President Ho Chi Minh’s services to the glorious revolutionarycause of the Party and the nation. President Ho Chi Minh devoted his whole life to thepeople and country and led the Party and people to make glorious victories. Having implemented President Ho Chi Minh’s sacredtestament, the entire Party, army and people accomplished the liberation of theSouth and national reunification, advancing forward the whole country to thebuilding of socialism. The delegation also offered incense and laid flowers at the Monument to Heroes andWar Martyrs in Hanoi, in commemoration of those who have dedicated their lives to the struggle for national independence,freedom and reunification./.

Ho Chi Minh City plans to hold a range of activities to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Liberation of South Vietnam and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975).
The country had to sacrifice a lot to achieve victory during the General Offensive and Uprising in the spring of 1975, culminating with the the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, said Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Huy Hieu, former Deputy Minister of National Defence.

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
