Luis Fonsi to bring super hit Despacito to Cocofest in Da Nang
Renowned Puerto Rican singer and songwriter Luis Fonsi will bring his super hit “Despacito” to the 2018 Cocofest music festival to be held at Cocobay Resort in the central coastal city of Da Nang in July.

Hanoi (VNA) – Renowned Puerto Rican singer and songwriter Luis Fonsi will bring his super hit “Despacito” to the 2018Cocofest music festival to be held at Cocobay Resort in the central coastalcity of Da Nang in July.
Fonsi, whose “Despacito” attracted over 5 billion viewers on Youtube, will joinother international and domestic artists at the largest music event in Asia onJuly 6 and 7.
Itis reported that another renowned international artist will be present at theevent, but the organisers have kept the name of this artist a secret.
The 2018 Cocofest, which is expected to lure 30,000 participants, wants tobring new experience of music to local youths under the theme “Laugh. Love.Live. Repeat”,
According to director Nguyen Viet Tu, Cocofest is hoped to become a culturalsymbol of Da Nang city and turn the coastal city into a destination forsuperstars worldwide.
Besidesmusic, the festival will also feature various sidelines activities, promisingto entertain visitors.
Luis Fonsi took the world’s music by storm with his pop song “Despacito”(Slowly). The song was ranked fifth among the best Latin songs of all time byNew York-based entertainment media brand Billboard last year.-VNA
This year’s Monsoon Music Festival (MMF) – Vietnam’s biggest music festival – may be the last, as the organisers can’t find a suitable venue for the coming years.
This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee. The outcome shows the trust and recognition that member states have given Vietnam for its efforts and achievements in carrying out and promoting the Convention, as well as for its active role, strong standing, and growing credibility at UNESCO.

The Vietnamese team will gather on June 26 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, where they will train until July 14 before departing for Indonesia for the ASEAN U23 Championship 2025, which runs from July 15 to 29. Vietnam will face Laos on July 19 and Cambodia on July 22 in the group stage.
The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
For the first time, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has granted Vietnam hosting rights for the two championships, including the Asian women’s solo category, which debuts this year as an officially recognised event.
