Ba Ria – Vung Tau (VNA) ♉– Luxury cruise ship Genting Dream docked at Tan Cang – Cai Mep port in the southern coastal province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau on November 8, bringing 2,044 foreign visitors to exciting destinations in Vietnam.
The cruise ship is making its first trip after being launched by Genting Hong Kong and Dream Cruise Line in late October 2016.
Following their tours of Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau and nearby destinations, the tourists went on board Genting Dream to depart for the central resort cities of Nha Trang and Da Nang.
Built in Germany at a total cost of 1 billion USD, the 18-storey ship is 335 metres long and 40 metres wide and has a tonnage of 160,000. It is capable of carrying 3,500 guests and 1,900 crewmembers.
Onboard offerings include submersibles, a waterslide park, spas, kids clubs, a cinema, a swimming pool and a nine-hole golf course.
Guests will also enjoy discovering an eclectic array of over 35 restaurant and bar concepts where they can indulge in the finest Asian and international dinning. Accommodation costs range from 1,080 to over 2,000 USD/room/day.
Director of the Tan Cang – Cai Mep Port Cao Xuan Dung said, since the outset of this year, the port has welcomed 44 international cruise vessels with more than 110,000 holidaymakers onboard. It expects to receive 66 cruise ships in 2016 with 160,000 visitors.-VNA
