Miss Grand International to boost Vietnam tourism

The Miss Grand International (MGI) 2017 will run from October 5 to 26 in Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Binh and Phu Quoc of Kien Giang province, and is expected to attract tourists to these destinations.

Hanoi (VNA) – The MissGrand International (MGI) 2017 will run from October 5 to 26 in Ho Chi MinhCity, Quang Binh and Phu Quoc of Kien Giang province, and is expected to attracttourists to these destinations.

The information was released by the contestmanagement board at a press conference in Hanoi on April 17.

The board said Quang Binh, home tothe UNESCO World Heritage Site Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, is the venuefor the final of the national costume contest, while Phu Quoc, a resort island,will host the swimsuit and preliminary competitions.

The MGI 2017 is expected to draw 80contestants from across the world, with Nguyen Tran Huyen My, runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2014, representing Vietnam.

During the contest, participants willvisit war-affected children and join other charity activities.
