Miss Vietnam Heritage Global turns to be TV reality pageant

Miss Vietnam Heritage Global 2018 is inviting Vietnamese women and those with Vietnamese roots living across the world to enter the pageant.

Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - Miss Vietnam Heritage Global 2018 is invitingVietnamese women and those with Vietnamese roots living across the world toenter the pageant.

Unlike the debut season in 2016, this year’spageant will be held as a TV reality contest with several episodes. Eachepisode will feature different challenges for contestants.

“All the episodes will connect to each other inpromoting the image of modern Vietnamese women, who have inherited traditionalvalues from Vietnamese culture, and at the same time, are smart, confident anddynamic,” said Trang Le, General Director of Multimedia JSC, who is theprogramme’s producer.

“Furthermore, because the pageant will takeplace at different FLC properties located on Vietnam’s beautiful coast, TVaudiences can also enjoy the natural landscape of those places, and ofVietnamese nature in general,” Trang said.  

FLC Group’s Vice President Huong Tran Kieu Dung,also the pageant’s head of organising board, said the contest aims to honourthe beauty, intelligence and integration ability of Vietnamese young women.

“The contest is also a great opportunity tointroduce to international friends a beautiful Vietnam, which is a must-seecountry and a memorable destination,” she said.

Alongside the selections which are taking placein Hanoi and HCM City from now until September 16, the contest also hasselections in Germany, Australia and the US, places with large Vietnamesecommunities. The semi-finals will be held on October 12 at the FLC Sam SonBeach & Golf Resort and on October 23 at the FLC Quy Nhon Beach & GolfResort.

Judges include Miss Asia USA 2006 Jennifer Pham,director of the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet, choreographer Tran Ly Ly andVietnamese-American fashion designer Cory Tran.

The finale is scheduled to be held in thebeginning of next year at the FLC Ha Long Bay Golf & Resort. Alongside acrown, the winner will be given a 2 billion VND (88,000 USD) prize, including 500million VND (22,000 USD) in cash and other gifts.
