-Onthe occasion of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's birthday on April14, leaders of countries and political parties including those from Laos,China, Cuba, Russia, Belarus, and Dominica, have sent letters and messages ofcongratulations to the Vietnamese Party chief.
Theleaders of countries and political parties congratulated Vietnam on itsoutstanding achievements in national construction and development under theleadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by Trong. They affirmed thatthey will keep working with the Vietnamese Party leader to grow bilateralrelations.

🧜 -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh paid homage to General VoNguyen Giap and met with families of soldiers fighting in the Dien Bien PhuCampaign and policy beneficiaries in Muong Phang commune of Dien Bien Phu city,the northwestern province of Dien Bien, on April 16.

ﷺ - NationalAssembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on April 16 said that Vietnam alwaysvalues and wishes to strengthen multifaceted cooperation with Hungary, atraditional partner and the only comprehensive partner of Vietnam in theCentral Eastern European region when receiving First Officer of the HungarianNational Assembly Márta Mátrai in Hanoi.

Speakingat the reception, Hue appreciated the fifth legislative conference on the roleof the parliament in supreme supervision of bilateral cooperation agreementsbetween Vietnam and Hungary held earlier the same day in Hanoi, during which,NA Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong and Márta Mátrai reached consensus on manyimportant issues, particularly those on cooperation between the two countries’legislatures.

Bothsides highlighted parliamentary cooperation as a bright spot in the twocountries' overall relationship, adding that the cooperation agreement signedby the two legislatures last June has laid an important foundation to furtherdeepen parliamentary ties, which is also instrumental in fostering politicaltrust and mutual understanding. 

🍌 -Ministerof Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son on April 16 received Diego Martinez Belio,State Secretary for Foreign and Global Affairs of Spain, who is in Vietnamto co-chair the fifth political consultation between the two countries.

Lauding the significant strides in bilateralrelations, Minister Son stated that Vietnam always attaches importance to andwishes to promote cooperation with Spain, the first strategic partner ofVietnam in the European Union (EU).

🌟 -Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang had a meeting with First Secretary of theCommunist Party of Cuba Central Committee and President of Cuba MiguelDiaz-Canel in Havana on April 15.

The Vietnamese official congratulated Cuba on itssignificant achievements obtained amid numerous difficulties and challenges. Heaffirmed Vietnam’s consistent solidarity with and support for Cuba as well asobjection to the embargo against the Caribbean nation.

♏ -Aceremony to repatriate two sets of remains believed to be of US soldier listedas missing in action (MIA) from the war in Vietnam was held at the Da NangInternational Airport in the central city of Da Nang on April 16.

The remains were found as the result of the 154thjoint field activity which lasted from February to April 2024.  Vietnameseforensic specialists examined the remains and determined that they might belongto US MIAs from the war in Vietnam.

- TheVietnamese Government has maintained its momentum on advancing gender equality,said Caroline T. Nyamayemombe, UN Women Representative in Vietnam, in a recentinterview granted to the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) on the occasion of thecountry’s election to the UN Women Executive Board for the 2025-2027 term.

🧸 PM urges relentless efforts against smuggling, trade fraud
