Seoul (VNA) – National Assembly (NA) ChairmanVuong Dinh Hue received leaders of Amkor Technology Korea Inc and Hana Financial Group, Inc of the Republic of Korea(RoK) on December 15.
The receptions were thelast activities of the top legislator in his official visit to the RoK from December 13-15.
Amkor Technology is implementing a project worth 1.6 billion USD for manufacturing, assembling and testingsemiconductor materials at the Yen Phong 2 Industrial Park (IP) in thenorthern province of Bac Ninh. Meanwhile,Hana Financial Group is cooperating with the Joint Stock Commercial Bankfor Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV).
Talking to President and CEO of Amkor Technology Korea Inc JiJong-rip, NA Chairman Hue stressed that Vietnam will support and accompanyAmkor Technology in implementing its project in Bac Ninh, and createsfavourable conditions for the firm to invest in sustainable business developmentin the country.
He suggested Amkor Technology assist Vietnamese businesses in improving theircapacity to be able to join global supply chains.
ඣ For his part, Ji Jong-rip said that Vietnamhas great potential, especially in terms of human resources and raw materials,which can ensure sustainability and stability for his company's long-term development.

Amkor has diversified products and a global customer base, he said, noting thatwhen its plant becomes operational, it will contribute to Vietnam’s economicdevelopment.
