NA concludes question-and-answer session

The 15th National Assembly (NA) on June 8 successfully wrapped up a question-and-answer session as part of its fifth sitting after two-and-a-half days.

Hanoi (VNA) – The 15th NationalAssembly (NA) on June 8 successfully wrapped up a question-and-answer sessionas part of its fifth sitting after two-and-a-half days.

In his closing remarks, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue saidapart from the four ministers who fielded questions within their remit, DeputyPrime Ministers Tran Hong Ha and Tran Luu Quang, and the ministers of finance,planning and investment, and agriculture and rural development gave furtherexplanations on issues regarding labour, invalids and social affairs,science-technology, transport and ethnic affairs.

Deputy PM Le Minh Khai clarified issues within theGovernment’s power, and responded to questions raised by deputies.

A total of 454 deputies registered to join the session, of whom 112 raised questions and 49 others participated indebates, according to the top legislator.

Lauding the performance of the Cabinet members duringthe Q&A session, Hue said the selection of the issues for the agenda is necessary,meeting aspirations of people and voters.  
The chief legislator suggested the Government,ministries and agencies concertedly implement solutions after the meeting tocreate changes in the fields touched upon at the meeting.

He said during the next sitting slated for October this year, the legislaturewill look into reports by Cabinet members, the Chief Justice of the SupremePeople's Court, the Prosecutor General of Supreme People's Procuracy, the StateAuditor General and others questioned.

The Government, ministries and agencies should sendtheir reports before July 15, Hue said, asking NA agencies to reform itsreport assessment methods./.
