NA deputies discuss draft revised Law on Social Insurance

The reports included thoseon the ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Rights ofPersons with Disabilities, and the UN Convention against Torture andOther Cruel Inhumane or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.
They also listened to reports on some matters related to the approval of the conventions as well as verification reports.
Later on the day, the NA deputies discussed a number of points in the draft revised Law on Social Insurance.
They focused on the expansion of social insurance coverage, retirementpolicy, social insurance fund, functions, tasks and authority of socialinsurance agencies, as well as regulations on management of socialinsurance and investment of social insurance fund.
On October 24, they are scheduled to sit for a plenary session.-VNA
