Hanoi (VNA) – Le Thi Tuong Vy, a studentfrom the Nam Can Tho University was crowned the 2020 Vietnam Miss University ata ceremony in Hanoi on January 19 evening.
The first and second runners-up are Nguyen Tran VanDinh from the Foreign Trade University - Ho Chi Minh City, and Le Thi PhuongDoan from the Industrial University of HCM City.
Organisers also awarded various auxiliary titles to honour contestants who won thelargest number of votes online, showed their outstanding talents, madesignificant contribution to the community, staged the best performance with AoDai (traditional Vietnamese dress), and showed the best English speaking skills.
Earlier, the qualifying and semifinal rounds of thecontest were held in the six cities of Hai Phong, Hanoi, Da Nang, Da Lat, HCMCity and Can Tho. The final took place in Hanoi from January 13-20./.
Do Thi Ha, a 19-year-old student from the central province of Thanh Hoa, outperformed 34 other contestant to be crowned Miss Vietnam 2020 at the pageant’s final held in Ho Chi Minh City on November 20.
Organisers expect to collect 50,000 blood units in the Chu Nhat Do 2021 (Red Sunday), a blood donation campaign that will be kicked off officially at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology in in the capital on January 17.
