Nam Dinh Museum receives over 60 antiques

The Nam Dinh Museum on April 14 received 62 antiques donated by Nguyen Thanh Nam, a cultural official in Thanh Tri district, Hanoi.

Nam Dinh (VNA) – The Nam Dinh Museum on April 14 received 62 antiques donated by Nguyen Thanh Nam, a cultural official in Thanh Tri district, Hanoi.

They include nine stone axes; 41 bronze items of the Dong Son culture; 12 vases, jars, ceramic bowls and dishes dated back from the first century to the 16th century; an 18 th century Phu Lang ceramic incense burner; and an original model of the “Thien Truong Temple” seal.

Nguyen Van Thu, Director of the museum, affirmed that the artifacts have great values for research and preservation as well as offer cultural and historic researchers and students in the province a chance to understand Vietnam’s cultural characteristics at different stages during the course of history.
