Jakarta (VNA) – National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue arrived inJakarta on August 4 morning, beginning his official visit to Indonesia where hewill also attend the 44th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-ParliamentaryAssembly (AIPA-44).
Hue’s trip is made at an invitation of Speaker of theIndonesian House of Representatives and AIPA President Puan Maharani.
This is the first by Hue as Chairman of the NA and also the first by a top legislator of Vietnam to Indonesia after13 years, following the one by NA Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong in 2010. It takesplace in the context that the two countries are celebrating the 10th anniversaryof their strategic partnership.
It also aims to continue implementing the 13th NationalParty Congress’s foreign policy, actively consolidate and expand thepolitical relationship between the two countries, and promote bilateraleffective and practical cooperation in all fields, and via the Party, NationalAssembly, Government and people's diplomacy channels, thus contributing toenhancing political trust.

The visit’s message affirms the priority Vietnam gives todeveloping and promoting friendship and multi-faceted collaboration withtraditional friends in the region, in order to open up new opportunities in thefield of economy and trade, and create a new impetus to strengthen thebilateral strategic partnership in a more extensive and effective manner.
During his trip, Hue is scheduled to hold talks and meetingswith Indonesian high-ranking leaders and attend a number of other importantevents.

The official visit to Indonesia by National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam is a "very important" step in parliamentary diplomacy between the two countries, said Fadli Zon, Chairperson of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation of the House of Representatives of Indonesia.
Under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh and the CPV, President Cuong said, the press has been a steadfast force on the ideological and cultural front, rallying the masses to pursue national aspirations.
NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man stressed the need to accelerate the application of artificial intelligence and smart teaching equipment, innovate teaching and assessment methods, and further improve the quality of formal education.
