Hanoi (VNA) – National Assembly deputies listened to a report onfeasibility study for a project on land reclamation, compensation andresettlement at Long Thanh international airport and discussed the draftrevised Law on Fisheries on October 27 during their ongoing fourth session inHanoi.

Underthe chair of National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, TransportMinister Nguyen Van The presented a feasibility study report on a project onland reclamation, compensation and resettlement at Long Thanh internationalairport in southern Dong Nai province.

Headof the NA’s Economic Committee Vu Hong Thanh delivered the review of the abovereport.

Thelegislators later discussed in groups the draft amended Competition Law and thereport.

Inthe afternoon, member of the NA Standing Committee and head of the NA’sCommittee on Science, Technology and Environment Phan Xuan Dung presented areport on acquiring feedback on the drafted revised Law on Fisheries.

Lawmakersgave their opinions on the State policies on fisheries activities, exploitationand protection of fishery stock, fund for fishery stock protection anddevelopment, land lease for aquaculture, among others.

Ministerof Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong also provided moreinformation about issues raised by legislators.

OnOctober 30, the NA will convene a plenary session to discuss law enforcement inthe reform of State administrative apparatus for 2011-2016, which will be livebroadcast nationwide.-VNA
