The project, scheduled to be completed by 2020, is expected to provideaccess to the national power grid for 233 villages in 54 communes inthe mountainous districts of Que Phong, Quy Hop, Thanh Chuong, Quy Chau,Anh Son, Ky Son, Con Cuong, and Tuong Duong.

Thefacilities will be jointly implemented by the Northern Power Corporationunder the Electricity of Vietnam (EVNNPC) and the Nghe An power companywith a total investment exceeding 780 billion VND (35.8 million USD),85 percent of which is sourced from the state budget.-VNA
