National Music Academy to present piano concerts

The National Academy of Music will host a series of piano concerts on December 22-27, featuring talented artists from the Republic of Korea and Brazil.

Hanoi (VNA) — The National Academy of Music will host a series ofpiano concerts on December 22-27, featuring talented artists from the Republicof Korea and Brazil.

Lee Sang-mi and Lee Sang-jung will perform the Four PieceSuite by Richard Rodney Bennett (1936-2012) and Nocturne No 20 by Chopin(1810-1849) on December 22.

The following day, Lee Ji-sung will perform Sonata No 8 inA-minor by Mozart (1756-1791), Sonata No 8 in C-minor Op 13 by Beethoven(1770-1827) and Andante Spianato and Grande Polonaise Brillante Op 22 by Chopin.

Brazilian artist Andre Boainain will perform Sonata in B-flatmajor D960 by Schubert (1797-1828) and Nocturnes Op 15 by Chopin.

Boainain has released recordings and performed his large repertoire all overthe world. He currently holds a position as professor of piano at KangnamUniversity in Seoul.

Tickets range from 150,000 VND to 300,000 VND.-VNA
