Next Media becomes exclusive broadcaster of AFF Suzuki Cup 2018

Lagardere Sports has signed a deal to transfer the broadcasting rights of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 to Next Media, according to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

Hanoi (VNA)– Lagardere Sports has signed a deal to transfer the broadcasting rights of theAFF Suzuki Cup 2018 to Next Media, according to the Vietnam Football Federation(VFF).

Under the contract,Next Media will be the exclusive broadcaster and distributor for the whole pay-TVsystem nationwide through satellite, cable, radio, Internet, mobile networkbroadcasting, and public screening within the territory of Vietnam.

Along with the VietnamTelevision (VTV), who holds the exclusive free-to-air rights of the tournament,Next Media is the only broadcaster that brings the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 closerto Vietnamese football fans via all media forms, including social networks.

Viewers can access thetournament in an easy and rapid manner with all of their devices.

Particularly, NextMedia also purchased the public screening rights, which means any units orenterprises wishing to organise screenings of the tournament in public placesmust get Next Media’s permit.

AFF Suzuki Cup 2018will take place from November 8 to December 15 with 26 matches. The nationalteam of Vietnam is in Group A together with Malaysia, Myanmar, Cambodia andLaos.

This is the lastfootball tournament seeing the competition of the Vietnamese national team thisyear, and a good chance for the team and its coach Park Hang-seo to bring homethe trophy.-VNA
