Next Media secures AFF Suzuki Cup 2020 broadcast rights

The Next Media Solutions JSC announced on April 27 that it had secured the exclusive ownership of AFF Suzuki 2020 broadcast rights in Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia.

Hanoi (VNA) -
The NextMedia Solutions JSC announced on April 27 that it had secured the exclusiveownership of AFF Suzuki 2020 broadcast rights in Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos andCambodia.

The value of this contract wasnot disclosed, however, it is said to be around 5 million USD.

The copyright package boughtfrom the global copyright holder Lagardere Sports includes both free and paidforms on all infrastructure: ground, cable, satellite, internet, internetprotocol TV, mobile, radio and public slideshows.

Next Media will have rights toredistribute in the four Southeast Asian countries.

The AFF Suzuki Cup 2020 is themost important tournament for Southeast Asian football.

“The AFF Cup is always an eventthat receives a warm welcome from the fans in the region. Therefore, Next Mediatried to bring the tournament to four countries including Vietnam, Cambodia,Laos and Myanmar. With the experience of production and communication that hasbeen affirmed for many years, we will bring the best football experiences tothe fans of the countries," said Nguyen Trung Kien, General Director ofNext Media.

The AFF Suzuki Cup 2020 isscheduled to take place from October to December this year.
Vietnam are the defendingchampions. The country won their second AFFCup trophy in 2018 after ten years by beating Malaysia 3-2 in a two-leg final./.
