Nghe An (VNA) - “Le hoi Lang Sen” (Sen Village Festival 2016) officially opened in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, the central province of🍨 Nghe An on May 17 as part of activities to mark the 🌸126th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh.
A festive atmosphere is overwhelming the native land of the late President with a wide range of events such as incense-offering ceremonies at the Uncle Ho Statue and the Kim Lien relic site, a parade, traditional games, film screenings, sporting events, photo exhibitions and a beauty contest.
The highlight was a procession carrying photos of President Ho Chi Minh from the Kim Lien relic site to the Sen Village Stadium in the May 17 evening. The event was attended by over 500 people, including local pupils and artists.
Another highlight is the Sen Village Singing Festival running from May 17-19, with the participation of 20 art troupes in the province.
The Sen Village Festival offers an opportunity for visitors from across the country and international friends to understand more about the life and political career of President Ho Chi Minh, who is the nation’s preeminent hero and a world cultural celebrity.
It also helps Nghe An introduce the beauty of local landscapes and friendly people together with its rich culture.-VNA
