Hanoi (VNA) – The National Innovation Centre(NIC) is building a project on developing human resources for the semiconductor industry as part of the country’s efforts to provide 50,000 engineers for the industry, according to NIC Vice Director Vo Xuan Hoai.

Currently, the NIC has cooperated with Synopsys and Cadencegroups of the Switzerland to provide chip design copyright to more than 20universities of Vietnam.
Recently, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has askedfor the formation of a semiconductor chip design training centre, in whichshared platforms have been developed for universities, said Hoai.
Hoai said that the country is also preparing other conditionsfor the growth of the semiconductor sector, with the National Assembly’sapproval of a resolution on the formation of an investment fund to support businessesin investing in the high technology area, including the semiconductor industry.
