Numerous activities launched to support fishermen in Thua Thien-Hue

The machines, form part of a programme to provide 15 VX-1700 devices to local fishermen with the aim to help them assuredly take to sea for production, were presented by the Thua Thien-Hue branch of the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development.
Previously, the provincial Border Guard Command presented two VX-1700 machines worth a total of 50 million VND (2,170 USD) to Vinh Hien Border Post and a local fisherman.
The provincial People’s Committee has decided to provide 160 offshore fishing boats with a capacity from 100 CV to 1,110 CV for fishermen.
In the coming time, the province will implement policies to encourage investment in building new offshore fishing vessels with capacity of 90 CV or above.-VNA
More than 36,000 local household members, suffering losses from mass fish deaths in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue, will receive support from local authorities from May 12.
