Hanoi (VNA) – The National Election Council (NEC) on May 6 relea🐼sed a list of localities given the green light to hold polls ahead of the General Election Day, which is slated for May 22.

Earliest in the list is the No. 1 polling station in the southern city of Vung Tau’s ward 12, which will see its residents cast votes to elect deputies to the 14th National Assembly (NA) and People’s Councils at different levels for the 2016 – 2021 tenure on May 7.
On May 15, three communes – Ta Ba, Ta Tong and Mu Ca, in the northern mountainous province of Lai Chau’s Muong Te district will run the election. Tho Chau commune in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang’s Phu Quoc district as well as some localities in Nam Giang and Tay Giang districts in the central province of Quang Nam are among locations scheduling their polls on May 19.
On May 20, voters residing in some areas in the central provinces of Quang Ngai, Nghe An and Quang Binh, and the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak will go to the poll. The northern city of Hai Phong, the Mekong Delta cities of Can Tho and Ca Mau, the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak and the central province of Binh Dinh have secured permission to organize early voting one day earlier than the General Election Day in some areas.-VNA
