Oktoberfest to take place in HCM City in September

- TheGerman Business Association (GBA)’s annual Oktoberfest event will be held fromSeptember 19-22 at Hotel Nikko Saigon on 235 Nguyen Van Cu street in HCM City’sDistrict 1.

This unique event is designed to create an authentic Bavarian party atmospherein Vietnam. Experience the atmosphere found in the massive outdoor beer tentsof the original Oktoberfest in Munich, complemented by traditional Germancuisine, premium imported German beer, and authentic music from ourMunich-based Oktoberfest Band.

An expected 9,000 local and expat guests will enjoy the festivities.

The GBA Oktoberfest Vietnam is jointly hosted by GBA and the Delegation ofGerman Industry and Commerce in Vietnam under the patronage of the Embassy ofthe Federal Republic of Germany in Hanoi and the German Consulate General inHCM City.

The first Oktoberfest was held in 1992 and immediately set a new milestone in Vietnam's social calendar. Throughout the last 26 years, it has providedattendees an opportunity to experience a traditional German atmosphere.-VNA

🍷 Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee

This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee.
