One more bronze for Vietnam at Asian cycling event

Hanoi (VNA) - Young cyclist NguyenThi Thu Mai won a bronze medal at the Asian Road and Para Cycling Championshipwhich concluded in Myanmar on February 12.

Mai finished third in the individualwomen’s U23 70km road race competition in 1hr 59.56min. Zixin Liu from Chinatook gold in 1:59.45, while her compatriot Jiajun Sun won the silver medal in1:59.50.

Seventeen cyclists from nine nationsparticipated in this category.

Earlier, Nguyen Thi That won a gold medalin the women’s 106km road race and Huynh Minh Nghia took a bronze medal in thetime trial 22km event.

The tournament, which attracted theparticipation of a total of 415 cyclists from 23 nations, was organised byAsian Cycling Confederation and Myanmar Cycling Federation under thesupervision of Ministry of Health and Sports. - VNA
