One Stop Service Centre for the Disabled opens in Bangkok

Bangkok (NNT/VNA) – The Department of Empowerment of Persons withDisabilities has participated in the Ministry of Social Development andHuman Securty’s "Nine New Year Gifts" campaign by opening the One StopService Centre for the Disabled in Bangkok. 

Director-General of the Department of Empowerment of Persons withDisabilities Somkid Somsri said his agency plans to open morecentres for the disabled nationwide. People with disabilities, theircaregivers, and associated organisations can receive social services,career development, counseling, and more at the center. 

Somkid said the centre also features goods and services, such asmassages by the blind and a coffee shop run by the disabled. 

Headded that his department has expanded service points for the disabledto the four corners of Bangkok, with offices opened in Lat Krabang, MinBuri, Sai Mai and Om Noi districts.-VNA
