Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The 14th Thai Silk Road to the World Festival is scheduled to take place on June 21 at the Navy Auditorium in Bangkok, showcasing a blend of Thai fashion, culture, and diplomacy in a grand celebration of Thai silk.

Organised by the Ministry of Culture and the Association of Thai Silk & Culture Promotions, the event honors Her Majesty the Queen on her 47th birthday anniversary and promotes Thai craftsmanship on an international stage.

The show will feature over 200 original Thai silk designs created by students from institutions across the country, presented under the theme “From Classroom to Runway.” Participants will include Cabinet ministers, ambassadors, spouses of diplomatic representatives, and honorary consuls from 88 countries. The fashion segments are themed to highlight different cultural elements, including Traces of Civilization, Heritage of the Thai Land, Voices of Thai Fabric, Muay Thai Rhythms, Siam in Colour – The Four Regions, and Drums of the Nation.

From June 25 to 29, the festival will continue at CentralWorld’s Eden Zone, where a public exhibition will showcase 197 student-designed outfits. Attendees will also find traditional silk and handmade crafts from all four regions of Thailand, along with workshops and an award ceremony for the 6th Next Big Silk Designer Contest.

🐈 This year’s event supports the government’s effort to promote Thai culture and local creativity through global engagement, using traditional textiles as a bridge between heritage and innovation. The main fashion show will be broadcast live at 4:00 p.m. on June 21 through the official NBT Live Facebook page./.
