Over 9,000 runners to join VnExpress Marathon Nha Trang 2024

The VnExpress Marathon Nha Trang 2024 will take place in Nha Trang city in the south-central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on August 11, with the participation of more than 9,000 domestic and foreign runners, heard a press conference on August 9 .

Khanh Hoa (VNA)♐ – The VnExpress Marathon Nha Trang 2024 will take place in Nha Trang city in the south-central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on August 11, with the participation of more than 9,000 domestic and foreign runners, heard a press conference on August 9 .

The runners will compete in different distances of 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km. They will enjoy the majestic scenery of Luong Son Pass and the stunning sunrise moments on Tran Phu bridge. This running route meet standards of the International Marathon Association (AIMS). This is the third time the VnExpress Marathon has been held in Nha Trang city.
According to Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Tuan Thanh, more than 400 foreign athletes have registered to take part in the event, most of whom are runners from Japan and the Republic of Korea. The tournament is expected to encourage physical exercise movement in the community, introduce the image of the people and landscape of the coastal city of Nha Trang to international friends, and contribute to promoting local economic development.
To ensure professionalism and safety along the race route, the organising board has arranged 29 support stations, with more than 1,000 volunteers as well as more than 800 medical staff, doctors, police and soldiers. The total prize pool of the tournament is more than 1 billion VND (39,520 USD)./.

🗹 Vietnamese culture takes centre stage in Korean city
