A painting competition was launched in Hanoi on September 14 to celebrate the 60th founding anniversary of Vietnam-Cuba diplomatic relations (December 2).

Hanoi (VNA) – A painting competition waslaunched in Hanoi on September 14 to celebrate the 60th founding anniversaryof Vietnam-Cuba diplomatic relations (December 2).

The contest is open to Vietnamese children aged 6-15, focusingon those from art clubs of elementary and secondary schools.

Entries must show an understanding about Cuba, the friendshipand solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba in the past, at present and in thefuture, as well as Cuban President Fidel Castro and his relationship withPresident Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese country and people, and activities ofthe two nations’ youths.

They must come in sizes between 30cmx40cm and 50cmx70cm and havenot been published on newspapers, magazines or mass media. They should be sentto the organising board from September 15 to October 31.

The event is expected to raise youths’ awareness aboutthe bilateral friendship as well as the Cuban people, country and revolutionaryhistory./.
