Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission holds 25th meeting
The Inspection Commission of the Party Central Committee held its 25th meeting from January 10-12, deciding on disciplinary measures against some Party units and individuals.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Inspection Commission of the PartyCentral Committee held its 25th meeting from January 10-12, decidingon disciplinary measures against some Party units and individuals.
The commission issued a reprimand to the Party civil affairsboard of the People’s Committee of Hanoi of the 2021-2026 tenure for violating theprinciple of democratic centralism and working regulations, showing a lack ofresponsibility and lax leadership, thus enabling the municipal People’sCommittee and some organisations and individuals to breach Party regulationsand State laws in purchasing, managing and using biologicals, chemicals,medical materials and equipment, as well as in receiving citizens repatriated fromabroad during the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the committee, the responsibility for those violations andmistakes belongs to the Party civil affairs board of the People’s Committee ofHanoi of the 2021-2026 tenure and the following individuals: Chu Xuan Dung,member of the municipal Party Committee, member of the Party civil affairsboard and Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee; Nguyen Khac Hien,former member of the Party Committee of the municipal Health Department andformer director of the department; and Nguyen Anh Tuan, former deputy directorof the municipal Public Security Department.
The commission also gave a warning to Nguyen Khac Hien, dispelled Nguyen AnhTuan from the Party and asked the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat toconsider disciplinary measures against Chu Xuan Dung.
Besides, the commission served a warning to the standing boardof the Party Committee of the Government Office and the standing board of theParty Committee of the Immigration Department under the Ministry of PublicSecurity.
The commission asked the Party Central Committee’s Secretariatto consider disciplinary measures against Mai Tien Dung, former member of theParty Central Committee, former Secretary of the Party Committee of theGovernment Office and former Minister-Chairman of the Government Office.
The commission asked the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat to considerdisciplinary measures against a number of incumbent and former officials of BacKan, Binh Thuan and An Giang provinces.
The commission also discussed and decided on a number of other importantmatters during the session./.
A high-ranking delegation of the Inspection Commission of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee led by its Chairman Tran Cam Tu is paying a working visit to Laos on November 9 - 10.

The Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission held its 23rd session in Hanoi on November 29-30, during which it proposed disciplinary actions be taken against some leading officials and party organisations.
The Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission convened its 24th session on December 20 and 21 in Hanoi, deciding disciplinary measures on many Party organisations and individuals.

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
