Party delegation attends ICAPP’s 20th founding anniversary

Hanoi (VNA) – A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) led by Nguyen Thi HoangVan, deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for ExternalRelations, attended a ceremony held virtually on November 8 to mark the 20th founding anniversary of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties(ICAPP).
Politburo member and standing member of the Party CentralCommittee’s Secretariat Vo Van Thuong sent a congratulatory letter to theConference.
Speaking at the event, Van, member of the ICAPP StandingCommittee, appreciated the prestige and influence of the Conference in thepolitical aspect of Asian political parties.
She affirmed that the CPV willcontinue exerting efforts, together with other political parties in Asia, tocontribute to implementing ICAPP’s common goals in the future.
Established in September 2000 in Manila, the Philippines, theICAPP has become a positive force for mutual understanding among Asiancountries and peoples. And now more than 300 political parties in the regionwith diverse political and ideological backgrounds are eligible to participatein ICAPP activities./.
