Hanoi (VNA) – The head of the Party CentralCommittee’s Commission for External Relations, Le Hoai Trung, held virtualtalks on January 20 with the chief of the Foreign Affairs Department ofthe Indian ruling BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP), Vijay Chauthaiwale,and BJP Member of Parliament Ravishandar Prasad.

Trung took the occasion to informed the BJP aboutthe outcomes of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party ofVietnam (CPV), and Vietnam’s COVID-19 response along with measures to ensuresocial welfare and recover and develop the economy.

He congratulated the BJP and the Government ofPrime Minister Narendra Modi on their achievements in leading India to fightthe pandemic and restore economic development.

The BJP officials hailed Vietnam’s achievements and expressed delight at thedevelopment of bilateral ties between the two countries and parties. Theyaffirmed that the BJP attaches importance to and wants to bolster cooperationwith the CPV. 

The two sides exchanged views on regional and international issues of commonconcern, and discussed measures and directions to promote the ties between theCPV and the BJP in the time ahead, contributing to deepening the comprehensivestrategic partnership between the two countries./.
