The number of passengers travelling through Dongxing border gate in China’s Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, which borders Mong Cai city in Vietnam’s northern Quang Ninh province, hit a record of 9 million as of December 4.

The border management agency of Dongxing city said border tourism betweenVietnam and China developed in 2017 thanks to favourable visa polices,convenient transport and reasonable prices.
Dongxing is the third largest land border gate in China. Since 2013, China hasallowed foreigners to conduct visa procedures at the gate.
The agency said thanks to the policy, the number of tourists from across theworld who entered China via the city has increased significantly.-VNA
