Hanoi (VNA) – The Prime Minister ha๊s approved a programme to crack down on human 🍎trafficking in the 2016-2020 period.
The programme will be carried out across Vietnam as well as bordering countries such as Cambodia, Laos and China in accordance with domestic and international law.
It aims to enhance public awareness of fighting human trafficking, step up the detection, investigation and prosecution of cases, as well as protect and support victims.
The programme will also improve legal documents and policies on human trafficking prevention, while increasing cooperation with other countries in implementing international commitments in the field.
It looks to direct and deploy forces to bust more human trafficking rings and strictly punish traffickers.
Diversifying means of communications and education and multiplying effective prevention models in the community are also among the main targets of the programme.-VNA
Vietnam is determined to fight human trafficking, said Deputy Spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry Pham Thu Hang on July 29 in response to reporters’ questions on a global human trafficking report.

A hub for sharing best practices, the event aims to forge solutions for financial sustainability, public media contracts, audience engagement, content innovation, and newsroom restructuring. It is also a moment for Vietnam’s media to accelerate its progress and figure out what the “revolutionary press” means in a new era.
From “Thanh nien”, Vietnam’s first revolutionary newspaper founded by Nguyen Ai Quoc (later President Ho Chi Minh) on June 21, 1925, the revolutionary press has remained devoted to its sacred missions -accompanying the nation, serving the Fatherland, and working for the people.
