The meeting was held in an online format linking the GovernmentOffice with People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities acrossthe country.
PM Chinh, who heads the committee, reiterated that digitaltransformation is an inevitable trend, an objective requirement and a must-dotask in national development.
He noted that during the complicated developments of theCOVID-19 pandemic, digital transformation has become an urgent need in order toeffectively prevent and control and pandemic while maintaining and promotingsocio-economic development.
The government leader affirmed that digital transformation is abig policy of the Party and State, which must be implemented regularly andcontinuously in a fast and effective manner.
During the meeting, a report on digital transformation indexrankings for ministries and provinces in 2021 will be released./.
The Prime Minister on June 13, 2020 issued a decision approving the National Digital Transformation Programme to 2025, oriented toward 2030. The programme aims to develop the economy based on digital technologies, especial post Covid-19 - an inevitable business trend.
