PM hosts Chairman of Russian Federal Bar Association
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh spoke highly of cooperation between the Russian Federal Bar Association (RFBA) and the Vietnam Lawyers’ Association (VLA) while receiving RFBA Chairman Sergey Stepashin, who is also former Prime Minister of Russia, in Hanoi on April 23.
Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh spoke highly of cooperationbetween the Russian Federal Bar Association (RFBA) and the Vietnam Lawyers’Association (VLA) while receiving RFBA Chairman Sergey Stepashin, who is alsoformer Prime Minister of Russia, in Hanoi on April 23.
PMChinh affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and wants to continuedeepening and developing its traditional friendship and comprehensive strategicpartnership with Russia, contributing to peace, cooperation and development inthe region and the world.
Heproposed the two countries continue strengthening political trust, facilitatinghigh-level visits, removing difficulties and obstacles in economic andinvestment projects in the spirit of harmonising interests and sharing risks.
The PMalso suggested advancing cooperation and sharing experiences among ministriesand localities of Vietnam and Russia, especially in education-training,exchange of students in basic science fields, culture-arts, tourism,people-to-people exchanges and aviation connectivity.
To concretise agreements reached by high-ranking leaders, PM Chinh suggestedRFBA and VLA, as well as relevant agencies, review and efficiently carry outcooperation deals, build a legal framework for bilateral cooperation andactively step up economic, trade and investment collaboration.
Onglobal and regional issues, he called for continued coordination atmultilateral forums for the sake of peace, cooperation and development in theregion and the world.
Stepashin,for his part, affirmed that Russia treasures and wants to fortify relationswith Vietnam across various fields. He vowed to report the contents of hisdiscussion with the PM to Russian leaders and relevant agencies.

Describing the exhibition as a large-scaled, content-rich, and unprecedented event with high requirements and limited preparation time, PM Pham Minh Chinh urged all ministries, sectors, and localities to participate with the highest sense of responsibility, ensuring the exhibition is inclusive, objective, truthful, feasible, and impactful.

The resolution on such mechanisms aims to serve as a legal basis for opportunely dealing with difficulties and hindrances caused by legal regulations in important, priority, and urgent areas that require immediate settlement so as to unlock resources, facilitate economic development, and turn legislation into a competitive edge.
PM Pham Minh Chinh instructed chairpersons of the People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to strictly follow the Ministry of Finance's guidelines on handling public finances and budgets, with a focus on preventing wastefulness, misconduct, or corruption.
Knapper reaffirmed the US's commitment to supporting a strong, independent, prosperous and resilient Vietnam, while respecting each other’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, independence and political systems.
Vietnam is deeply concerned about the escalating and complex conflict in the Middle East, which poses a serious threat to the lives and safety of civilians, as well as to regional and global peace and stability.
