PM Phuc’s attendance is made atthe invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Two-way trade between Vietnamand China reached 93.6 billion USD in 2017, up 30 percent year-on-year, andaccounting for 22 percent of Vietnam’s total import-export turnover. Of thetotal, 35.4 billion USD came from Vietnam’s exports.
Vietnam posted a trade deficitof 28 billion USD with China in 2016. The figure was down to 22.7 billion USDlast year, a positive sign in improving the bilateral trade balance.
