Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister NguyenXuan Phuc has agreed with the draft content of the ASEAN Leaders’ declarationon the role of the civil service as catalyst to achieve ASEAN Vision 2025.
He will officially sign the document at the 30thASEAN Summit held in the Philippines from April 28-29, 2017.
The PM assigns the Ministry of Internal Affairs,in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry ofLabour, Invalids and Social Affairs along with relevant agencies, to organisethe implementation of the declaration.-VNA
Representatives from over 20 ministries and sectors gathered at a meeting in Hanoi on December 14 to review the ASEAN cooperation in 2016 and orientations for the time to come.

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
