Population database-based COVID-19 vaccination management system to be launched

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has agreed with the Ministry of Public Security’s proposal on the application of COVID-19 vaccination management system on the foundation of the national population database.

Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hasagreed with the Ministry of Public Security’s proposal on the application ofCOVID-19 vaccination management system on the foundation of the nationalpopulation database.

The PM asked the ministry to launch the system immediately,while requesting the Ministry of Information and Communications to coordinatewith the Public Security Ministry and the National Steering Committee onCOVID-19 Prevention and Control in the implementation process.

According to the Public Security Ministry, the nationalpopulation database has become operational since July 1, managing theinformation of nearly 100 million Vietnamese citizens.

The system will help ensure the accuracy of informationgiven by citizens at medical checkpoints, while controlling the population changes inpandemic-hit areas to serve F0 movement tracing.

It will also support the management and analysis of dataon vaccinated citizens in a uniform manner without any additional investment.

So far, the system has become ready for immediate operation,according to the ministry./.
