President decides on gifts to revolution contributors on war invalids, martyrs’ day
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc has signed Decision No. 1142/QD-CTN on presenting gifts to those who rendered services to the nation on the occasion of the 74th War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).

Under the decision, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, war invalids and veterans contaminated with chemical toxins and losing at least 81 percent of working capacity, and relatives of martyrs each will get 600,000 VND.
There is also another kind of gifts with a value of 300,000 VND each, to be presented to war invalids and veterans losing 80 percent or less of their working capability, and martyrs’ relatives.
This year’s gift value is 50 percent higher than that in theprevious year.
Total value of the gifts is about 480 billion VND (20.85million USD)./.
A delegation of the Party, State, National Assembly and Government on July 25 paid a floral tribute to martyrs and visited the mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh in Hanoi on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the war invalids and martyrs’ day (July 27).
An event was held in Hanoi on July 25 to express gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers nationwide, which was among the activities marking the 73rd War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27).
The central province of Thua Thien-Hue held a ceremony on July 27 to posthumously bestow the title of “Heroic Vietnamese Mother” to 12 women and present the Independence Order to four families that rendered services to the revolution.
With the War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27), July is the month for expressing gratitude to the Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, who dedicated their beloved ones to the fights for national independence and liberation.
With strong support from local authorities, businesses, organisations, and residents, the province has successfully built or repaired 10,707 homes for disadvantaged households, including war veterans, families of martyrs, ethnic minority people, and low-income residents.

In recent decades, Vietnam’s mainstream media has become a reliable and persuasive channel for showcasing the nation’s development policies and achievements, especially in economic matters, according to a senior assistant editor at the Times of India.
A hub for sharing best practices, the event aims to forge solutions for financial sustainability, public media contracts, audience engagement, content innovation, and newsroom restructuring. It is also a moment for Vietnam’s media to accelerate its progress and figure out what the “revolutionary press” means in a new era.
