Moscow (VNA) – President Nguyen Xuan Phuc hasaffirmed that Russia is always a top priority, trustworthy and traditional partnerof Vietnam.
Duringa meeting with Chairman of the State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin inMoscow on December 1, President Phuc wished that the two legislatures would further upholdthe role of the Vietnam – Russia Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee instrengthening bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership andinter-parliamentary cooperation in particular.
Volodin,for his part, thanked the Vietnamese President for supporting ties between the twolegislatures.
Heaffirmed that the State Duma of Russia treasures and wants to boost relations withthe Vietnamese National Assembly, contributing to deepening tiesbetween the two nations.
Onthe occasion, he also invited leaders of the Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) to theinternational forum on the development of parliamentarianism scheduled for September 2022 in Moscow.
PresidentPhuc also conveyed NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue’s invitation to visit Vietnam to thehost.
Inthe morning the same ꧃💃day, the Vietnamese leader laid wreaths at Ho Chi Minh Monumentand a memorial dedicated to unknown martyrs in Moscow. Later, he paid tributeto VladimirIlyich Lenin - a great leader of the working class and international communist movement at his mausoleum./.

Russia’s TASS news agency has run an article highlighting the talks between Vietnamese President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, especially the joint statement adopted by the two leaders.

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
