Prime Minister receives Japanese Komeito Party’s Chief Representative

Tokyo (VNA) –Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Chief Representative of Japan’s Komeito Party Yamaguchi Natsuo on November 24 during his ongoing official visit to Japan.

During the reception, the Vietnamese Government leader congratulated the Komeito Party on its success in the last election, and highlyvalued the role and position of the party in Japan’s political system.

He thanked the Japanese party for its important contributions to consolidatingand expanding the friendly cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japanover the past time, expressing his hope that the party's parliamentariansalways support the Japanese Government's proposals related to Vietnam.

PM Chinh emphasized that the Vietnamese Government and people consistentlyconsider Japan as a leading and reliable and long-term partner.

He hoped that the Komeito Party will continue to pay attention to promoting theVietnam - Japan extensive strategic partnership, the exchange between the twocountries' friendship parliamentarian groups and people-to-people exchange in the coming time.

He also proposed that the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Komeito Party hold exchange activities and share experience, especially in areas such as administration, management, training, naturalresources, transport, tourism and improving the quality of human resources.

For his part, the Komeito Party official applauded the Vietnamese Government leader’s officialvisit to Japan, saying that the trip will contribute to further strengthening theVietnam - Japan extensive strategic partnership across fields.

He affirmed that the Komeito Party has, and will continue to support stronger Japan – Vietnam relations, and bolster bilateral cooperation at regionaland international forums.

The party always supports Vietnamese expats living, studying and working inJapan, he said.

PM Chinh conveyed a message from National Assembly ChairmanVuong Dinh Hue inviting Komeito parliamentarians tovisit Vietnam in the coming time./.
