Hanoi (VNA) – The Office of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee on May 29 held a conference to launch a book highlighting t🐻he longstanding tradition of cooperation between the Office and its counterpart, the Office of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee.
Speaking at the event, Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and Chief of the Committee's Office, noted that after nearly three years of research and compilation, the book was completed in March. Its release coincides with the 70th anniversary of the founding of the LPRP and the establishment of its Central Committee's Office.

Also addressing the event, Thongsalith Mangnomek, Secretary of the LPRP Central Committee and Chief of the LPRP Central Office, stressed that the book reflects the significant contributions of leaders and staff of both offices in nurturing the special friendship between the people of Laos and Vietnam.
Later the same day, the LPRP Central Committee's Office held a ceremony to honour collectives and individuals from the CPV Central Committee's Office for their outstanding achievements in bilateral cooperation during the 2017–2022 period./.
Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army Sen. Lieut. Gen Le Quang Minh hailed the LPRP’s founding in 1955 as a historic turning point that ushered in a heroic chapter in Laos’ fight for national liberation and its efforts to build and protect the homeland.
Tam portrayed President Ho Chi Minh as a radiant symbol of true patriotism, seamlessly integrated with proletarian internationalism. He further described the late leader as an exemplary international revolutionary who unwaveringly championed the cause of justice.
Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chinh and General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith looked into specific solutions to foster connectivity between the two countries in the five key areas of transportation, energy, trade, digital transformation, and human resources./.
Nghia affirmed that this is a milestone of special significance, affirming and honouring the the Vietnamese revolutionary press’s glorious tradition of 100 years of serving the revolutionary cause of the Party, serving the Fatherland, and serving the people.

The country is willing to participate in collective efforts to promote cooperation and mobilise resources to advance the current priority issues of developing countries, such as trade, investment, infrastructure connectivity, making the most of scientific and technological advances for development, and people-to-people exchanges, Hang said.
During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
