Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,251 VND/USD on August 20, down 10 VND from the previous session.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,464 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,038 VND/USD.
At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates saw a sharp decline.
At 8:43 am, Vietcombank listed the rates at 24,800 VND/USD (buying) and 25,140 VND/USD (selling), both down 90 VND from the previous day.
