Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,254 VND/USD on August 16, unchanged from the previous session.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,467 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,041 VND/USD.
At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates saw a sharp rise.
At 8:17 am, Vietcombank listed the rates at 24,890 VND/USD (buying) and 25,230 VND/USD (selling), both up 40 VND from August 15 morning.
