Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) set the daily referenceexchange rate at 23,163 VND per USD on October 2, down 2 VND from the previous day (October 1).

With the current trading band of +/- 3percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,857 VND per USD and the floor rate at 22,468 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banksstayed rather stable.

At 8:20 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,120 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,270 VND/USD, unchanged from the same time on October 1.

Techcombank also kept both rates unchanged, with the buying rate listed at 23,132 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,272 VND/USD.

Meanwhile, BIDV cut 10 VND from both rates, withthe buying rate listed at 23,140 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,260VND/USD./.
