Reference exchange rate revised up 4 VND on December 14

The State Bank of Vietnam set the reference exchange rate for VND/USD at 22,124 VND on December 14, up 4 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the referenceexchange rate for VND/USD at 22,124 VND on December 14, up 4 VND from the previousday.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate appliedto commercial banks on the day is 22,787 VND and the floor rate, 21,461 VND perUSD.

The opening hour rates listed at commercial banks continued the risingtrend.

Vietcombank raised both its buying and selling rates by 50 VND, with thebuying rate set at 22,650 VND for one USD and selling rate at 22,730 VND.

The buying rate listed by BIDV was 22,660 VND per USD, up 50 VND, and theselling rate went up 40 VND to 22,730 VND.     

At Vietinbank, the buying rate was increased by 10 VND to 22,670 VNDwhile the selling rate stayed at 22,750 VND, the same as the previous day.

Eximbank increased its buying rate by 80 VND to 22,660 VND and sellingrate by 70 VND to 22,750 VND for one USD.-VNA
